Update from Pastor Noel & Pastor Lynnie …
In light of recent events and the government’s latest restrictions we wanted to update you on how we will be responding at SCBC.
As of this moment we still intend to meet on Sunday (22nd March) given we are typically a group of less than 100.
During the service this Sunday we will then outline our plans for how we intend to meet and continue to connect when we need to pause our Sunday service. Should you not be able to make it this Sunday we will also communicate these plans via email, the church website and sms.
We have made the decision to withhold communion and morning tea on Sunday and encourage everyone to sit further apart as added precautions to minimise any possible transmission. We would like to remind you that for the sake of others in our church if you have been overseas in the last 14 days; exhibit even mild flu-like symptoms or otherwise feel ill please remain home.
This is a time of great upheaval for our society, the likes of which very few have encountered before. Rest assured we are seeking to respond prayerfully and out of love for you and our neighbours so we greatly appreciate your flexibility as we navigate new challenges.
In the days/months ahead let us now more than ever fix our eyes on Jesus, fill our ears with the Word of God and keep our hands and feet nimble and agile ready to love and serve everybody.
